Mean Girls Day

Raise your hand if you’re a Mean Girls fan. When I think of a good movie, I think of one that I can watch over and over again. Mean Girls is definitely up there on my list of favorite movies. I love to celebrate Mean Girls Day on campus with my teammates. October is one of the most stressful months of the school year. There are always a lot of activities packed into that one month. So if I can put a smile on someone’s face anytime during the month of October, I’m down for it. How do I do that? With my favorite quote from the movie, of course!

“I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy.” I love this quote because every time I watch this part of the movie, I can’t help but to laugh out loud. I’m not sure if it’s the quote that gets me or Damian saying afterwards, “She doesn’t even go here!” Ha! Either way, I figure if it brings a smile to my face, then that same quote will make others smile, too. 

I take the quote, print it out, and attach it to a rainbow treat. You can attach it to a rainbow cookie, Funfetti cupcakes, etc. Then I hand it out to my teammates on Mean Girls Day, October 3.

Prime Day is Coming!

 

Prime Day is coming up this week! Honestly, I tend to like Prime Day more than Black Friday. I think I like it more because Black Friday is right around the holidays and I've already bought so much stuff that my budget is kind of tight. Prime Day is in the middle of summer and I can get stuff for my classroom as well as some presents for the holidays (yes, I'm a planner) without feeling too guilty about the budget.

What is Prime Day?

Prime Day (July 12 &13) is a two-day event where Amazon chooses products to offer at HUGE discounts! The deals are usually better than Black Friday deals. There are deals that will last for both days, but there are also lightening deals. Lightening deals are products that are offered at an extreme discount but it's only for a limited time. These deals last for 4 hours or until inventory runs out, whichever comes first. Lightening deals are usually the best ones, but you have to get them fast!
