On Fridays, I check all of the checklist items and see who hasn’t turned in their work. I write an unfinished work notice and send it home with space for a parent signature. All items are due within 2 days. At first, it’s pretty time consuming. But once kids start realizing that you’re actually checking their work, it’s not nearly as time consuming. I usually have like 3-4 kids who have issues finishing each week. It’s great data for parent meetings and communication. I love this personalized approach to learning and allows me time to work with students on targeted instruction in a smaller group. This is just what I was looking for!! Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
